Make Afrika a Better Place
'Building Young People Sustainably'
WELCOME
Welcome to Make Afrika a Better Place, where our non-profit is dedicated to creating a sustainable community in Ghana and preparing an ecosystem for environmental, social and economic challenges while empowering the youth. We focus on a diverse range of activities, including sports education, regenerative agriculture, youth entrepreneurship, off-grid food manufacturing and holistic practices like yoga meditation & self-defense. Explore our initiatives as we strive to create long-term positive change by 'Building Young People Sustainably.
Sustainable communities generally strive to reduce consumption, sequester carbon through trees, plants & soil and regenerate waste back into its own on-site circulatory system. Ideally, they don't use resources faster than they can be replenished and they support residential, agricultural and industrial components within the community.
These biospheres are important to create and put into practice around the planet because they lead to improved quality of life, resilience, economic benefits, social equity, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment.

Sports & Wellness Education
The education of sports and wellness has many benefits for young people in building character, confidence, self awareness, discipline and general life skills. Our activities include contact and no contact sports, for meditation, self defence, recreation and some for even competition that can lead to educational opportunities like scholarships and university degrees. Students can also progress in sports professions as coaches, international competitors and business executives.
Youth Entrepreneurship
We are offering small business education for young people to equip individuals with knowledge, experience including potential startup capital for setting up small businesses and possibly future careers. We have special focus on agribusiness development to support local food processing in helping to build our local economies while investing young business leaders.
Regenerative Agriculture
We practice sustainable agriculture by emphasising permaculture principles, including no-till, regenerative farming methods and techniques that emulate nature. Here, farming meets the needs of existing and up incoming food security demands while building soil health, environmental biodiversity and the well-being of local communities.
What We Are Trying To Achieve
Our Vision
The map below shows the layout of the sustainable community that we are developing in Ghana. The 10 acre site is designed to operate off-grid and divided into 3 zones that will feature systems for organic agriculture (fruits, vegetables & herbs), carbon-neutral industry (sport, manufacturing, education) and eco-village style residential units.
The Agricultural Zone will generate the organic food supply chain of fruits, vegetables and medicinal herbs. To support the system, infrastructure is being developed from seed, to seedling transplants, to harvesting a large variety of crops, to maximise the biodiversity and fresh produce for consumption and surplus for sale.
The Industrial Zone will process organic foods grown on the farm and area farms, creating a range of value-added products; all food waste returns into the closed loop system to be regenerated. The Make Afrika a Better Place HQ is also situated in this same zone and will coordinate sporting, educational and youth entrepreneurship activities for students and community stakeholders alike.
The Residential Zone will offer eco-friendly housing to visitors and those who will live inside this gated self-sufficient community. This 3 Zone formula can be applied to other countries to benefit other communities in the future, please click on our 'Business Documents' to read the full report on our project development.
